Birthday at the Children's Museum

The Enchanted Child Emperor

The birthday group get dressed up as princes and princesses. Things begin by reading out loud the story of Princess Antonia/Prince Maximilian, who were very rude to the well-woman at the Schöner Brunnen, the “beautiful well”. For this reason they are put under a spell, and a doll represents the child emperor, but without costly adornments. The birthday group are asked to help the enchanted child emperor and find out what was important in earlier times to help people to recognise someone as a real princess or real prince. Piece by piece the doll is dressed and fitted out until it looks really imperial. For birthday princesses there is a version with child Empress Antonia, for birthday princes the child Emperor Maximilian.

Target group – as of 5th birthday.
